Good Tuesday morning friends

Good morning

Today is our Tuesday meeting with the medical team were we will get Leslie's report card and have the opportunity to ask questions, and I have a feeling there will be many as we approach our discharge date this Saturday. Leslie is doing a great job she is working very hard to get as stable and strong as she can before returning home, we love each of you and thank you again for your love for Leslie and our family. Your payers and words of comfort have truly been comfort to us. Our God is so good and the incredible gifts that our Father has brought into our lives, we are so thankful for.

Thanks for coming by to check on us.

God bless JRP

  1. Leslie,
To simply say that I'm proud of you doesn't properly convey how I really feel. I am full of a strong sense of pride in my friend, who, in spite of a stroke and paralysis, fought it head on and is beating the heck out of it!!!
Even if you don't feel like a champion, you are! In all those little battles that you have already fought, or all those that you will face in the days, weeks, months ahead, just keep at it. I know that it's going to be a long road in so many ways, but just know that your friends will continue to support you, love you and pray for you.

  2. Hey guys,
I am so sorry for not writing for so long, but I went back to work and trust me....it has been some eventful experience...if you think the tiger head coming off was a surprise... wait til I share with you the new teaching experiences I am having in the fun Houston areas...quite colorful I assure you, and I don't mean the walls of the campus...lol...but we will wait until I can see your sweet faces for that...trust me, you will want to see the drama mama for this one...
So, on to you Leslie Lou...So, 3 days ey??? WOW>..you ROCK...RAWR...that husband of yours must be doing something right! I am so proud of you and Jeff, you Rock too...I am so thrilled you will be home soon in your own bed and surroundings with your family and friends close by; I am only sorry we are so far away from you in both places. We miss you terribly and think of you often. Give Beau a big ole hug from the Lee group!!! OF course, an extra squeeze from Jay Jay (but don't tell Kelley cuz he will be jealous!) Also, we have some really SWEET news...Miss Jennifer Lee is going to be Katy bound permanently around April and we are pretty darn tootin excited about it...she will be a big freshman next year so we are getting her down here to meet some friends before school is out....I know..GOD IS SO GOOD!
We love you all so much and are thinking of you often. Hope to see you soon!
Jay Jay, Kelley and the crew!

  3. Leslie (Jeff & Beau too)
Just to let you know that we are in prayer for you on many fronts. Your friends at Pine Cove are thanking God for his faithfulness in your life. You have a class room full of sixth graders at Grace Community in Tyler that pray for Mrs. Leslie frequently. Leah asks how you are doing and she prayed for you during her prayers tonight. Tom Pinkston reminded me of Zephaniah 3:17 this past Sunday...about our God that is "mighty to save"
    God Bless you all.
    Matt, Karen Samantha and Leah.

  4. Dear Leslie, Jeff-fry and Miss Beau Jangles,
The ticker says two days and counting...we are beyond words - what an amazing and inspiring journey this has been. We are privileged to be walking with you and seeing all that the Lord is doing through you and with you. Just think how many people you have encouraged to go look up the verse in the book of Zephaniah - and how proud I am of you, Leslie, for remembering he was a 'minor prophet.' Some of us have to admit we had to dust a few cobwebs off the OT to find our prophetic friend Zephy.

I for one had to see the words for myself and I quickly went down several other rabbit trails...oh how I miss going down those with you! Just pretend we are sitting at McAlister's and turn to Isaiah 35:3-4.

Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come..."

The heading in my bible for Chapter 35 says 'Joy of the Redeemed' - we are praying that many will come to know that sweet joy because of your testimony. Yes, our God WILL come!

We love you and expect to see the ticker-tape parade covered on the national news when the Power mobile pulls into East Texas on Saturday!
Just know we are there in spirit cheering from Highway 19 ;o )
    Linda for the Seifferth's
