Good morning

Thursday morning has been full of many new sights and sounds for Leslie and I, really there has not been any real sound just a quiet breeze from the Air vent that Leslie said sounded like rain on a tin roof, perfect for resting , but for the sights we have a new room to get acquainted with and have had many new faces to meet ,we have already met six new people this morning ,doctors, nurses, lab tech. , respiratory, dietary, techs.,they have all been very nice. We are still working on Leslie's pressure but I think we are getting real close to the right combination of times and amounts...(pause) I am back now ,I was able to talk my wife into eating some breakfast, not a lot but a good start, physical therapist is due any time, but I am going start practicing some of the things they asked me to do so I probably need t get going now. As usual thank you for your continued interest ,love and support for Leslie, Beau and myself your prayers have been so incredible..we will get back asap.

God bless

  1. Good Morning Momma & Daddy,

I slept so good last night! I went to sleep around 10:45pm and woke up at 9:00am and when I woke up I wanted to talk about a funny dream I had about a boy who went to school in only his underwear! Boy was he embarrassed for forgetting his pants!

I am excited to be going to my house today to check on my puppies, and to jump on my trampoline. I've already said I have to get to bed early because when I go to school tomorrow I have to get up really early (and I really don't like that). But I'm happy about going to see my friends at school tomorrow but I want to be picked up before nap time.

I've been asking about you and I know that the doctors want my momma to sleep. I sure think those doctors are pretty mean (and when I talk about them I put my hands on my hips and put on my mean face) for not letting anyone come see you guys because I really can be quiet - but for now I'm dealing with it fine and keeping busy.

We might take a little nature walk this afternoon to see what we can see as well.

Daddy you need to call us and tell us how to get to my school and what time school starts because I can't remember. But I know I need to take my pack pack with some clothes in it.

I'm being such a good girl and also a big and strong girl - you would be very proud of me!

    I love you so much!

  2. Sounds like your morning is off to a good start. May God continue to bless and heal you, Leslie, as you continue to recover from your physical difficulties. May He wrap His loving, comforting arms around you all as you recover from your emotional pain and grief. You probably cannot realize it now, but this did not take God by surprise. He has always had a wonderful plan for your lives, and that has not changed. It is such a blessing to read how you are clinging to God as you post in your blog. Also a blessing to know you have medical personnel that are also praying for as well as treating you. Much love and prayers.

  3. Hello Jeff, Leslie,& Beau. We are so glad to hear about the progress you are making. We will continue to lift you up in prayer, believing that our God will, as his word says, give Beauty for Ashes, Strength for Fear, Gladness for Mourning, and Peace from Despair.
When Jesus went to raise Lazarus from the dead, the Bible says He wept. Despite the fact that he already declared that he was going to raise him. It was when he saw the heartache of the people at the loss of Lazarus that he wept. This tells me like any good parent when your children hurt, you hurt. So know that God is not only a God who goes through the struggles with us. He is also a God who feels our sorrows, and weeps with us.
We love you, as do so many others. Your sweet spirit, your tenacity, and your servants hearts.
Love the Austins (Aaron, Anna, & Avery)
